Method
Prepare the Marshmallows:
- Insert lollipop sticks or wooden skewers into the center of each marshmallow, if using, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Melt the White Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil together in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Dip the Marshmallows:
- Dip each marshmallow into the melted white chocolate, coating it completely. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back on the parchment paper.
Decorate with Sprinkles:
- Immediately after dipping, roll or sprinkle the marshmallows with red, white, and blue sprinkles. This will create a colorful, festive look.
Add the Pop Rocks:
- Before serving, sprinkle Pop Rocks on top of the marshmallows, either directly on the chocolate or rolling the top in them. This creates the crackling effect. (Be sure to add Pop Rocks just before serving to maintain their fizz.)
Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the marshmallow pops for about 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set. Once the chocolate is firm, they are ready to serve!
