Pineapple Upside-Down Easter Egg Cake

For the Topping:
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 6-7 pineapple rings
- 6-7 maraschino cherries
For the Cake:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- ½ cup whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
For Decoration (Optional):
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Food coloring pastel colors
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an oval baking dish.
Pour melted butter into the pan and sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange pineapple rings and cherries.
In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients separately, then add to wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
Pour batter over the pineapple layer. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
Let cool for 10 minutes, then flip onto a serving platter.
