Melon and Mozzarella Skewers with Basil Oil
These Melon and Mozzarella Skewers with Basil Oil are a refreshing and vibrant appetizer that combines the sweetness of melon, the creaminess of mozzarella, and the fragrant aroma of basil oil.
For the Skewers:
- 1/2 medium melon cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Wooden or metal skewers
For the Basil Oil:
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Blend olive oil, basil leaves, and lemon juice in a food processor. Season with salt and pepper.
Thread melon cubes, mozzarella balls, and basil leaves onto the skewers.
Drizzle with basil oil and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serve immediately.
