Loaded Campfire Baked Potatoes are the ultimate comfort food for outdoor cooking! Wrapped in foil and cooked directly in campfire coals, these potatoes turn out perfectly soft on the inside with a crispy, smoky skin.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup green onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Heavy-duty foil

Instructions
 

  • Scrub potatoes, pierce with a fork, and coat with oil, salt, and seasonings.
  • Wrap each potato tightly in foil.
  • Campfire: Cook in hot coals for 45-60 minutes, turning every 15 minutes.
  • Grill: Cook over indirect heat at 400°F for 45-60 minutes.
  • Oven: Bake at 425°F for 50-60 minutes.
  • Unwrap, slice open, and fluff the inside with a fork.
  • Top with butter, cheese, bacon, sour cream, and green onions. Serve hot.
