Garlic Hummus Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil plus more for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice about 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin optional
  • 1/4 tsp paprika for garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Peel and mince the garlic cloves.
  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and cumin. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, to adjust consistency if needed.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Garnish with paprika and fresh parsley.
  6. Serve with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or crackers. Enjoy!
