Dutch Oven Blueberry Cobbler

This Dutch Oven Blueberry Cobbler is the perfect way to enjoy a warm, comforting dessert whether you're cooking outdoors or in the kitchen.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh blueberries or frozen
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for the topping
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream optional

Instructions
 

  • Mix blueberries, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
  • Whisk flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk and vanilla.
  • Grease Dutch oven. Pour blueberry mixture inside, then drop spoonfuls of the dough over it.
  • Campfire: Place Dutch oven over fire, cover, and bake for 30-35 minutes. Oven: Preheat to 375°F and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Brush with heavy cream, serve warm, and enjoy!
