These Campfire French Toast Skewers with Berries are a fun and delicious twist on a classic breakfast favorite, perfect for grilling over an open flame.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices thick bread preferably day-old
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter for grilling
  • 1 cup mixed berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • Maple syrup for drizzling
  • Wooden skewers soaked for 30 minutes

Instructions
 

  • Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a shallow bowl.
  • Cut bread into 1.5-inch cubes and dip into the mixture, coating all sides.
  • Thread the bread cubes and berries onto soaked wooden skewers.
  • Grill skewers over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup and serve with fresh berries.
