Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups rice or corn square cereal like Chex
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • Valentine M&M’s
  • Pink or red sprinkles
  • Candy hearts
  • Mini marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon butter or coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Cereal
  2. Add cereal to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Make sure the bowl is large enough for tossing without crushing the cereal.
  4. Melt the Chocolate
  5. Melt white chocolate in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each.
  6. Add butter or coconut oil if using, and stir until smooth.
  7. Stir in vanilla extract if desired.
  8. Coat the Cereal
  9. Pour melted chocolate over the cereal.
  10. Gently fold with a spatula until evenly coated.
  11. Add Powdered Sugar
  12. Transfer coated cereal to a large zip-top bag or bowl with lid.
  13. Add powdered sugar.
  14. Shake gently until all pieces are coated.
  15. Add Valentine Mix-Ins
  16. Spread puppy chow on parchment paper to cool.
  17. Once set, gently mix in Valentine candies, sprinkles, and marshmallows.
  18. Serve or Package
  19. Serve immediately or package into treat bags, jars, or boxes for gifting.
