Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Mix in vanilla, flour, and salt to form a soft dough.
- Roll dough into small balls and place on a baking tray.
- Press a thumbprint into each cookie and fill with jam.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool before serving.
