Single-Pan Creamy Chicken Alfredo Pasta Bake

This creamy chicken Alfredo pasta bake is the perfect one-pan comfort meal for busy evenings. Tender chicken, pasta, and a rich Parmesan Alfredo sauce are baked together beneath a golden layer of melted cheese for a dinner that's hearty, creamy, and incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta until just al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Melt the butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until lightly browned and fully cooked.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then stir well.
  7. Add the Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  8. Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  9. Fold the cooked pasta into the sauce until evenly coated.
  10. Sprinkle the mozzarella evenly over the top.
  11. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. For a golden top, broil for 2–3 minutes if desired.
  13. Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  14. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream to restore the creamy texture.
  • Add broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, or peas for extra vegetables.
