Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix peaches with half the sugar and lemon juice. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Stir in milk until just combined.
- Pour melted butter into a baking dish, then pour the batter over it (do not stir).
- Spoon the peaches evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
- You can swap peaches with other fruits like berries or apples.
- For extra crunch, sprinkle a little sugar on top before baking.
