Peach Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream

A warm, comforting dessert made with juicy peaches and a buttery golden topping. Served with melting vanilla ice cream, it’s a timeless favorite that’s simple yet incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups sliced peaches fresh, canned, or frozen
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix peaches with half the sugar and lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Stir in milk until just combined.
  5. Pour melted butter into a baking dish, then pour the batter over it (do not stir).
  6. Spoon the peaches evenly over the batter.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  8. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • You can swap peaches with other fruits like berries or apples.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle a little sugar on top before baking.
