Patriotic Chocolate Covered Strawberries (4th July Treat)

These festive chocolate covered strawberries are a simple yet stunning dessert for your 4th of July celebration. Juicy strawberries dipped in rich chocolate and decorated with red, white, and blue accents make the perfect sweet bite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries washed and dried
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • ½ cup blue candy melts or blue-dyed white chocolate
  • ¼ cup red sprinkles or sanding sugar
  • Optional: additional white chocolate for drizzling

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted white chocolate, covering about ¾ of the berry.
  4. Place dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Melt the blue candy melts in a separate bowl.
  6. Dip a portion of each strawberry into the blue coating or drizzle it over the white chocolate layer.
  7. Immediately sprinkle red decorations over the chocolate before it sets.
  8. Let the strawberries sit at room temperature or refrigerate briefly until the coating hardens.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours in an airtight container.
  • For best taste, let them sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  • You can swap colors or decorations for other holidays and occasions.
