Herb Butter Steak & Mushroom Skillet

This Herb Butter Steak & Mushroom Skillet is the perfect combination of tender steak, savory mushrooms, and a rich, flavorful herb butter sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks about 1-inch thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary or 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil in a cast-iron skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove steaks, then sauté mushrooms in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
  • Return steaks to the skillet, spooning herb butter and mushrooms over the top. Let rest for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve with fresh parsley and your favorite sides.
