Herb Butter Steak & Mushroom Skillet
This Herb Butter Steak & Mushroom Skillet is the perfect combination of tender steak, savory mushrooms, and a rich, flavorful herb butter sauce.
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks about 1-inch thick
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme or 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary or 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley optional, for garnish
Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil in a cast-iron skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove steaks, then sauté mushrooms in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes.
Add butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
Return steaks to the skillet, spooning herb butter and mushrooms over the top. Let rest for 2-3 minutes.
Serve with fresh parsley and your favorite sides.
