Fall Pecan Pie Bars

I still remember the first time I brought them to a cozy get-together with friends. Within minutes, the buttery crust and gooey pecan topping had everyone reaching for seconds—and begging for the recipe.

Ingredients

For the crust:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
For the topping:
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix melted butter, sugar, flour, and salt. Press into pan and prick with a fork.
  3. Bake crust for 18–20 min until golden on the edges. Let cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, whisk brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans and pour over crust.
  6. Bake for 30–35 min until set.
  7. Cool completely, then chill 1 hour before slicing.
