Fall Pecan Pie Bars

I still remember the first time I brought them to a cozy get-together with friends. Within minutes, the buttery crust and gooey pecan topping had everyone reaching for seconds—and begging for the recipe.

Ingredients
  

For the crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt

For the topping:

  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix melted butter, sugar, flour, and salt. Press into pan and prick with a fork.
  • Bake crust for 18–20 min until golden on the edges. Let cool slightly.
  • In a bowl, whisk brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt.
  • Stir in chopped pecans and pour over crust.
  • Bake for 30–35 min until set.
  • Cool completely, then chill 1 hour before slicing.
