Method
For Skull Buns:
- Grease 8 skull cavities in a skull pan with 1 tbsp butter.
- Mix flour, egg, sugar, salt, yeast, and 2 tbsp cubed butter. Add lukewarm water and blend.
- Knead 5–7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise 1–2 hours.
- Punch down dough, divide into 8 pieces, and press into greased skull pan.
- Cover, rise 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake 14–18 minutes, remove, and brush with melted butter. Cool before slicing.
For Cheeseburgers:
- Shape ground beef into 8 skull patties. Chill.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook in skillet with butter/oil, 3 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- Top each with cheese, cover until melted.
- Assemble burgers in buns with toppings.
