Campfire Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

These Campfire Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches are a delicious and hearty take on the classic Philly cheesesteak, made even better by the smoky flavor of campfire cooking.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ribeye or flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a cast-iron skillet over the campfire.
  • Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened, then add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
  • Toast hoagie rolls on the grill or campfire until golden.
  • Assemble the sandwiches with the beef mixture, top with cheese, and wrap in foil.
  • Melt the cheese by heating the foil-wrapped sandwiches for 2-3 minutes over the grill or campfire.
  • Serve immediately.
