These Campfire Nachos with Black Beans and Fresh Salsa are the ultimate crowd-pleasing snack for any outdoor gathering.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large bag tortilla chips
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend
  • 1 cup fresh salsa
  • 1/2 cup sliced jalapeƱos optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for greasing
  • Fresh cilantro optional
  • Sour cream optional
  • Guacamole optional

Method
 

  1. Prepare a campfire or preheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Grease a cast-iron skillet or foil with olive oil.
  3. Layer tortilla chips, black beans, cheese, and jalapeƱos in the skillet or foil packs.
  4. Cook over the fire or grill for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts.
  5. Top with fresh salsa, green onions, cilantro, sour cream, and guacamole.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
