Apple Crumble Bars

Warm, cinnamon-spiced apple filling tucked between layers of buttery shortbread and crumble. Everything you love about apple pie — made easy and sliceable!

Ingredients
  

Crust & Crumble Dough:

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

Apple Filling:

  • 3 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • tsp nutmeg optional
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Combine melted butter, sugars, flour, cinnamon, and salt into a crumbly dough.
  • Press 2/3 of the dough into the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Mix diced apples with flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  • Spread apple filling over baked crust, crumble remaining dough on top.
  • Bake another 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Cool completely and chill before slicing. Enjoy!
