Apple Crumble Bars

Warm, cinnamon-spiced apple filling tucked between layers of buttery shortbread and crumble. Everything you love about apple pie — made easy and sliceable!

Ingredients
  

Crust & Crumble Dough:
  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
Apple Filling:
  • 3 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • tsp nutmeg optional
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine melted butter, sugars, flour, cinnamon, and salt into a crumbly dough.
  3. Press 2/3 of the dough into the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Mix diced apples with flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  5. Spread apple filling over baked crust, crumble remaining dough on top.
  6. Bake another 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Cool completely and chill before slicing. Enjoy!
