Apple Cinnamon Mug Cake

A quick, cozy, and comforting single-serve cake with tender apple chunks and warm cinnamon. Perfect for breakfast, a sweet snack, or a dessert when you want something indulgent without baking a full cake. Ready in just a few minutes, this mug cake is soft, fluffy, and naturally sweet!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup finely chopped apple about ½ small apple
  • Optional toppings: caramel drizzle whipped cream, chopped nuts

Method
 

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in chopped apples.
  4. Microwave on high for 1–2 minutes, checking after 1 minute. Cake should be set but soft in the center.
  5. Let cool slightly, then add toppings if desired and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Chop apples finely for even cooking.
  • Check microwave halfway through to avoid overcooking.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or ginger for extra warmth.
  • Top with caramel or whipped cream for a dessert-like treat.
